DIY: Suspender Tights

First DIY post! I fell in love with the suspender leggings you can find being sold around the internet, unfortunately they're a bit too expensive for me so I made my own. My version costs less than a tenner since I bought the leggings and tights from Penneys (Primark) and the suspender clips were only about three euro. They're super easy to make to be honest and all you need is super basic sewing skills.

What You'll Need.
- Leggings (in any colour/print)
- Tights (any colour/print/denier)
- 2 suspender clips (found in any sewing shop/lingerie shop)

Step 1.

Cut off the part of the suspender clip that usually connects to your hold ups. That's the only part of the clip that you're going to need. Mine were white so I painted them black to match my leggings and tights.

Step 2.

It helps if you first try on the leggings and mark where you need to cut. Cut off the legs of the leggings around halfway down your thigh. If you want you can hem the uneven edges but I find this doesn't matter too much when you're actually wearing them since they stretch.

Step 3.

Next do the exact same with the tights, except this time you're keeping the legs. Basically you're making yourself a pair of thigh high socks. Once again it helps if you try them on and mark where to cut first.

Step 4.

Last but not least, you sew the suspender clips on the end of the leggings. Obviously make sure you don't sew the front and back of the fabric together.

Aaaaaaannnd you're done, apologies if this isn't half as informative as it should be. Still not sure what I'll wear mine with first, I'll probably save them for my next concert (whenever that'll be).
